Wheel Alignment Wheel Alignment has changed over the last 10 years or so , now all four wheels have a relation to the front wheels and tyre wear. At bridgwater Tyres and Exhausts we use the John Beam visualaligner, this uses the latest systems and software to ensure you car runs straight and smooth. The use of infra red and digital imaging it locates the four wheels simultaneously ensuring we can set the front wheel to the rear, on modern cars its vital that wheels you set the toe to are running in the same direction as the rear, this eliminates rear wheel steer and off centre steering wheels of which we have all experienced after we had the car tracked. Modern cars also require from time to time the camber and caster to be altered especially after you have had suspension work carried out, our fitters also have the knowledge and software to correct this to, in fact the equipment we use is also used by many main dealers but at a third of the cost of less in many cases. No appointment is required just drive in, and there's no charge for inspections. |
